Although the origins and exact timeline of the first Caritas stamp have not yet been fully clarified, there are documents that clearly show when this chapter came to an end. In short, it concluded with the death of Ragnheiður Hafsteins. It appears that upon her passing, the remaining board members dissolved the fund and transferred its assets to a new fund called Ragnheiðarminning. Attached here is a letter from Hannes Hafstein to the fund, in which he expresses his gratitude. Here is also a post from the Facebook page of the Reykjavík City Archives which reports on a meeting record from Barnahælið Karitas, where the establishment of the fund Ragnheiðarminning was decided. The documents and the appreciation letter are preserved at the Reykjavík City Archives.

In 1913 the Thorvaldsen Society issued its first Christmas seal to raise funds for its Children Care fund. Ragnheiður Hafstein served on the board of that fund as well.
